Mandatory product serialization

Each product unit has to be marked with a unique identifier - Data Matrix. It has all the information about the product and its tracking. Since 1 July 2020 the production and distribution of car tyres without proper serialization is prohibited. This regulation will affect manufacturers, distributors and retailers.
The system is operated by the Chestny Znak Centre for the Development of Advanced Technologies.

This regulation is particularly relevant for companies outside the Russian Federation.
